Next Class = Palm Sunday

Hello Parents,

April 1 will be our next class. Thanks for all your patience with the special classes last time. We had about 85% attendance- on the last day of spring break no less- and we are hearing great comments from both events.

As for the preK-2nd graders, who got to see a big screen showing of the Veggie Tale movie ROBIN GOOD- they were so well behaved! Even when we brought out the popcorn! No small feat for having almost 50 kids under the age of 8 in one room :) Hopefully, they all learned a bit about how much God cares for them, even when they're hurting. If your child wants more Robin Good themed fun, visit the official page here. If you'd like more of a synopsis, visit this review.

Grades 3-5 got to join with the Youth Group for a snack version of the Hunger Banquet. It helps kids experience the unfair distribution of food in the world. We tried to tie it in with our Operation Rice Bowl efforts, too. And because we always want to end on a hopeful note, we ended by pointing out the good the Church does- and how we can help the poor- through groups like the CRS Rice Bowl OR the Maryknoll Missioners.

All in all, the day was a fun event to learn more about God's care for us, and our call to care for others. Feel free to contact me if you or your child has any questions about the special events! And many thanks to the Youth Group for joining with us and helping out!
