Pandamania VBS - Day 1

Hello parents and friends! Thanks to a GREAT team of volunteers (adults, teens and even our 4th/5th grade PANDAKEEPERS) - our VBS has gotten off to a wonderful start! Thanks to you, too, for your willingness to share your kids with us... and for your patience in the drop off/ pick up lines ;)

Preschool parents were given a newsletter to show what activities their kids today. Here's a general overview for everyone of Day 1 (click for more).

The kids also learned about our Bible Buddy Fez (a golden pheasant). Ask them about his feathers! Our Catholic hero was holy person Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. A Jesuit priest and a scientist (palentologist), the more he learned about the earth and its creatures, the more he marvelled at God's creation.

We also had a guest from Hope for Haiti come and visit to tell us about how they are trying to help our Haitian neighbors. As part of our VBS outreach, we're asking each family to bring in one item for their hygiene kits, anytime this week. The flyers and newsletters are still available if you missed one today.

Oh! And don't forget those GOD SIGHTING bracelets... all of the kids are supposed to keep their eyes peeled for where they see God in their life! It could be while admiring a tree, or when a sibling is nice to them, or when their parents give them a hug... help your kids look for God in their life this week :)
